I need to be perfectly clear about Ace Combat Assault Horizon Enhanced Edition. This PC game is not for the kids. In fact this is one of those games that should be played after they have gone to bed. I have personally not played an aerial combat game in some time. Let alone on the Personal Computer.

Vivid Games has been quietly releasing a neat ski jumping franchise for some years now. Ski Jumping Pro is the most recent release to enter the Family Friendly Gaming Nation. In my opinion this is the best one yet. Families can easily get into this game, and start ski jumping.

Review: "Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron" - Nintendo DS
Reviewed by Mark for FamilyFriendlyGaming
SCORE: 60/100
Star Wars games are everywhere on almost every system. Kids enjoy getting to take on the role of characters in this universe. In Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron we take part in a major war. It is Star WARS after all. So we have to have some kind of a war. Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron include levels where we shoot with guns, and levels where we fly vehicles and do more shooting. There is not much diversity in Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron. At least until we have to fight bosses like General Grievous. Then we actually have to think about how to defeat them.

Natsume went a really wild direction with Rune Factory 3 A Fantasy Harvest Moon on the Nintendo DS. This hand held role playing game is part Harvest Moon and part come together. See the monsters (horned Univir) and the people of Sharrance do not get along. We get to play a halfling. You know one that is half monster and half human. And our goal is to bring the monsters and the humans together. It almost makes one want to break out into song. Almost but no quite.

Deer Drive Legends is a mixture between an arcade hunting game and a realistic hunting game. We go to different locations in this Nintendo 3DS game trying to achieve a certain goal - like kill five deer. We have to avoid shooting the does (female deer) though. Aggressive animals will come up and attack us.

This tiny little town has been cursed and it is up to the player of Old Clockmaker's Riddle to free them. How will you free them? By playing match three levels. There are certain special gems that need to be matched with two or more of the same kind vertically or horizontally. When the player hits the required number (for that level) they can move on.

I was apprehensive about reviewing Happy Sheep on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Why? It is made by a very small developer, and I have had bad experiences with small developers on this platform. What was the deal? They could not accept any constructive criticism and wanted to argue every little personal experience I had with this game. The editor in chief promised me this game would not be the same case.

Bubble and Squeak on the iOS platform is a clone of the Bust a Move franchise. Just so no one is confused we are talking about the video game franchise, not the Young MC song. There are bubbles at the top of the screen and we have a launcher to send more bubbles up there. The goal is to match the colors and have all the bubbles gone from the screen.

Normally we love titles from Chillingo. Aero Vacation is one of their rare releases that I am not fond of. This is a free app on the iPhone/iPod Touch. How can they release an entire video game for free? Well this game will test you. Are you will to be patient and work your way slowly to the top? Or will you want results right away? If you want results right away you will have to pay for it. The cost comes in real world dollars. Things in Aero Vacation take time. However you can hurry it up by spending dollars. Certain items can also be purchased with them. I found myself with a wealth of certain resources and hardly any of others.

I started to play Final Fantasy XIII in preparation of the launch of Final Fantasy XIII-2. Put it down to review the sequel, and am now finally ready to review Final Fantasy XIII. This Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 video game is a work of art and modern technology. This game rivals many of the motion pictures put out by Hollywood. And has some of the same trappings. We get to know deep and complex characters. They each have their own motives, interests, and goals. We hop around from group to group learning a little as we go. Final Fantasy XIII slowly reveals itself to us.

Review: "Marvel vs Capcom 2" - iPhone/iPod Touch

Family Friendly Gaming is one of the few media outlets that will look honestly at the fighting games. Too often bird feeder websites will say bashing each others faces in is family friendly. Well they normally forget to accurate describe what they are doing in fighting games. So why even bother with them? Someone has to set the records straight. The WMG decided Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the iPhone/iPod Touch was a good game to review. After all Apple says this app is appropriate for everyone nine years old and older. It is interesting that the lenient ESRB gave Marvel vs Capcom 2 a âTâ for Teen rating. Meaning thirteen years and older.

I remember when Nintendo 64 games were top of the line. I remember when their graphics impressed me. But there has been a lot of water to flow under that bridge. For one of the retro game reviews this month I decided to play and review Mario Party 2 on the Nintendo 64. I downloaded it to a Wii for this review. I noticed some interesting aspects of the graphics in Mario Party 2. There are parts that look good to this day, and there are parts that show the age of the game, and the technology it was built on. Few younger gamers will be impressed with the images in Mario Party 2.

One of the first Genesis games I ever played was Altered Beast. At that time in my life I listened to the lies of the world, and ate the game up. It is always important to honestly analyze the content of what we are drowning our brains in. I did not come to that truth until many years later. By the grace of God my eyes were opened and I saw the light. Altered Beast was one of the first games that I remember playing that gave us large characters. I am talking tall, and very muscular. The technology was being pushed. And at the same time the macabre and morbid. There are plenty of disgusting and repugnant images in Altered Beast.

Family Friendly Gaming is different from the rest of the gaming media in terms of outlook, and foundation. Those of us at Family Friendly Gaming use the Holy Bible as our foundation. They are not equals to humans.
